The energy efficiency upgrade features of Wuhan New World Centre and Wuhan New World International Trade Tower include fresh air control, variable-speed drive and the installation of an elevator energy feedback device. It is estimated that these projects can achieve energy savings of 2,468,000 kWh per year. Water recycling features include collection of cooling tower bleed-off water for irrigation, which will save 1,575 cubic meters of water per year. These projects have been awarded with the LEED Gold Certification for environmental excellence.
